What if your path to calm, clarity and creativity starts with a brushstroke?

Introducing Abstracts Against Anxiety...

A six week course designed to help you reduce stress and boost your mental wellbeing - all through the power of intuitive abstract art.

*No artistic talent needed - just a willingness to let go and feel the benefits!

Reconnect with yourself in a judgement-free space, feel a weight lift from your mind, and discover a creative practice that’s as therapeutic as it is enjoyable.

Does this sound like you?

💭 You’ve got a million things on your plate, and the stress is starting to catch up with you. It feels like anxiety and overwhelm are always lurking in the background, and you’re just looking for a way to feel more like you again.

💭 You used to love being creative, but now the idea of picking up a paintbrush seems… well, a bit intimidating. You think, “I’m not an artist,” and you talk yourself out of being creative - even though you know you miss that spark.

💭 You’re simply craving a break. A safe space to unwind, be yourself, and just let go without anyone watching or judging. Something that helps you clear your mind and get a fresh perspective.

💭 You know taking care of your mental health is important, but finding something that actually helps, doesn’t take ages, and feels good? Well, that’s another story!

If you’re nodding along, then Abstracts Against Anxiety is made for you.

Imagine having a way to let go of that built-up stress and find calm that actually lasts. A way to express all those things that can’t be put into words. Because in a world where you can be anything, why not be emotionally regulated?

Abstracts Against Anxiety is a six-week journey designed to help you reconnect with yourself, release stress, and feel grounded again. This is a creative practice that doesn’t care if you’re ‘good at art’ or if you’ve never even held a paintbrush in your life! It’s about letting go, tuning in, and discovering the magic of creating without rules or pressure.

For me, as someone who’s lived with high-functioning anxiety and bouts of depression, abstract art became a turning point. It let me process emotions in a way that traditional meditation never could. With soothing, meditative music in the background, I found a way to quiet my mind and enter a peaceful state that felt natural - even with a wildly overactive mind. And now, I’m sharing this with you because I know it can help, even if you don’t think of yourself as ‘creative.’

This is a chance to show up, let go, and see where the colours take you. It’s not about the end result; it’s about feeling free, emotionally lighter, and more connected to yourself.

If you’re ready to find calm, creativity, and a little bit of joy, Abstracts Against Anxiety is for you. We begin on 8th January 2025.

Meet Hali, Artist and Founder of Abstracts Against Anxiety

About Me...

Hi, I’m Hali! I’m here to show you that creativity isn’t just a ‘nice-to-have’ - it’s a powerful tool for wellbeing, and it’s accessible to everyone. I know because I’ve been on that journey myself.

Growing up between England and Iran, I was constantly inspired by the beauty of both cultures. Art was my passion from a young age (a teacher even told my mum I’d be an artist one day), but life had other plans. I spent years running creative businesses, first as a makeup artist, then as an award-winning cake artist, but it wasn’t until 2020 (thank you, lockdown!) that I picked up a paintbrush again. It was like meeting an old friend.

For me, as someone who’s lived with high-functioning anxiety and bouts of depression, abstract art became a turning point. It allowed me to process emotions in a way that traditional meditation never could. With soothing music in the background, I found a way to finally quiet my mind - even with a wildly overactive imagination. Now, I’m sharing this with you because I know it will help, even if you don’t think of yourself as ‘creative’.

In Abstracts Against Anxiety, I combine my passion for art with my training in positive psychology and art therapy to help people tap into their own creativity and find balance. There’s no pressure here, and definitely no need to be a “real artist” - no one will judge your abstract masterpieces! 😉

Just show up, make a mess if you like, and explore where the colours take you. My goal is to create a safe, judgement-free space where you can relax, reconnect, and feel a little lighter.

Why abstract art isn’t just “messing about with paint” - it’s a game-changer for your mind and wellbeing

(and yes, there’s real science behind it!)

Engaging in creative activities like abstract art isn’t just about making something pretty - or pretty messy! Research shows it’s one of the most effective ways to boost mental wellbeing - and it’s easier (and more powerful) than you might think.

🤩 You’ll lose yourself in the moment (and gain SO much more)
Think about those moments where you’re so absorbed in what you’re doing that time just disappears. That’s called “flow”, and it’s like a mental reset button for your brain. Studies show that flow not only reduces stress but actually makes you happier. In Abstracts Against Anxiety, you’ll be tapping into that state regularly, so stress feels lighter, and happiness starts feeling more natural.

🤩 You’ll be able to express what words can’t
Maybe meditation never quite worked for you (same here - trust me!). Abstract art gives you a way to get the same benefits of meditation, without having to sit still. Creating without judgment lets you release all those emotions you can’t put into words. Feelings of frustration, overwhelm, or worry? Paint them out. You don’t need
any art experience to feel the relief that comes from simply letting go on the canvas.

🤩 You’ll be training your brain to handle life’s curveballs
Engaging in creativity trains your brain to think flexibly - scientists call this “cognitive flexibility”, which is just a fancy way of saying you’re able to adapt and manage challenges with a clear, calm head. When life throws something unexpected your way, the mental agility you’ll gain through abstract art helps you stay grounded and resilient.

🤩 You’ll find your community and stop feeling alone in this
Art has a way of bringing people together, and Abstracts Against Anxiety is as much about connecting with others as it is about personal growth. You’ll join a supportive, judgement-free group of like-minded people. So you’re not just painting; you’re creating bonds, finding support, and feeling part of a community that really gets it. That’s a huge part of healing, and it’s what makes this course unique.

🤩 You’ll give your brain a boost of natural “feel-good” chemistry
Every time you create, your brain releases dopamine - that little hit of happiness. You’re not just taking a break; you’re actively boosting your mood, reducing anxiety, and fuelling your wellbeing. And the more you do it, the better it gets.

This course is more than creating art. It’s a real, proven way to ease anxiety, lift your mood, and give you a fresh, balanced perspective on life. If you’re ready to let go of the stress, feel lighter, and experience a calm that sticks with you, Abstracts Against Anxiety is here to make that possible.

Here’s how the magic happens, week-by-week, with Abstracts Against Anxiety.

Course dates: January 8th, 2025 - February 26th, 2025

Guided art & mindfulness exercises each week
Every week, you’ll be guided through exercises and videos that bring abstract art and mindfulness together in a way that’s easy, calming, and surprisingly freeing. Step by step, you’ll learn to express emotions you didn’t even know were there, all while creating something that feels like you.

Live, hands-on Zoom sessions
Every Wednesday at 8 pm GMT, join Hali and your coursemates for a live session where we dig deeper into your creative journey. Exclusive downloadable resources
In between sessions, you’ll have access to bonus content designed to keep your creative spark alive. Think of these as little check-ins to keep you inspired, grounded, and motivated to keep picking up that paintbrush.

A community that gets it and gets you
This isn’t just about abstract art - it’s about feeling connected. Join a supportive, like-minded group where you can share your wins, struggles, and breakthroughs. Whether you’re feeling stuck, proud, or just need a place to land, this community is here to cheer you on, no judgement.

If you show up, follow along, and give yourself the space to truly engage, you’ll see the benefits. This course is designed to create real, lasting change, not just a quick fix. That said, everyone’s journey is different, and it’s natural to feel gradual shifts. But I’m here to help you make sure you leave with tools and practices that genuinely work for you.

“I have a question not covered here.”

That’s fine. Just get in touch here and ask away!

You’ll walk away with more than just pretty paintings. You’ll have a real outlet for stress, tools to keep calm and grounded, and a renewed sense of connection to yourself.

This is your time to breathe, create, and feel like you again.
